There are three separate and distinct employment programs for Renaissance Club members:

Transitional Employment Program: The club “owns” the jobs that members are assigned to for 6 months to 1 year. Employment managers train member employees on the job for up to 2 weeks until the member feels comfortable and competent with the job. The club mediates any problems or conflicts that arise.

Supported Employment Program: Helps members who have gained employment on their own or with the assistance of the club employment coordinator. This job is the member’s job to keep. The club provides ongoing support for members as needed in their jobs.

Independent Employment Program: Members who gain employment through their own resources are able to use the clubhouse for support and assistance as they need it. Often clubhouse members do not disclose their disability unless a situation arises where disclosure and club support are needed.

The employment Job Developer at Renaissance, Adam Page, can get in touch with employers who may have available jobs. Please contact him at: Apage@eliotchs.org. Current employers include the Department of Mental Health and Elliot Human Services.
